2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser

We still have our 2009 FJ Cruiser Pricing and Specs page for those of you
looking for the 2009 model.
If you are confused about which SUV is best for you, the FJ Cruiser may just
be the vehicle of choice. Recent recalls aside (because these will be addressed
and overcome), the Cruiser is a compact SUV that is flexible for all occasions:
It is a comfortable passenger and family vehicle; a durable sport vehicle for
off road driving and is well designed for all driving purposes and terrain.
The FJ Cruiser fits the mold of the newer, retro style designs. Its inspiration
comes from the old FJ40 and has quickly become a fan favorite of owners who
prefer the unique, sleek design with more power than the FJ40. It is sporty
and comfortable enough for a drive to the desert, ski slopes, mountainous terrain
and more. The look is subjective - and in our opinion - it's got the looks.
More importantly, the power is there. Take a look at our FJ Cruiser Reviews
and see what owners are saying about this sporty and versatile SUV.
This retro model attracts a younger demographic, mainly due to its off-roading
capabilities. The SUV comes equipped with a keyless remote entry system, tri
wiper design, cruise control, parking assist, private glass and running lights
for daytime. The media specs are: AM/FM stereo, CD player with 6 disc capacity
in dash, MP3 and WMA playback. Enjoy your favorite tunes with the support of
an 8-speaker interior sound system.

Off Roading
For off road lovers; the cruiser is one of the most affordable SUVs
you'll find. Its surprisingly reasonable price makes the FJ Cruiser most
chosen SUVs in the world. Driving off the lot having spent about $23 to $25K
makes the FJ Cruiser one of the more affordable vehicles in its class. An
off-road traction-control system is available on 4WD models.
The Cruiser is said to be funky, fun, stylish, affordable, and practical as its ability to provide a smooth ride on various terrains is unsurpassed in our opinion.
FJ Cruiser Engine
The 4.0 L 1GR-FE V6 engine is powerful yet logical. In our opinion, it
cannot be matched, especially when comparing to many of the gas guzzlers on
the market today.
The 2010 FJ Cruiser engine is a 258-hp 4.0-liter V6, which is about 20
horsepower stronger than the 2009 model. Automatic transmission is standard
and the 4 Wheel Drive version may also be purchase with a manual
transmission for those who prefer driving a stick. There are actually two
different 4WD systems available on the FJ Cruiser. Both have a low-range
gear for off-roading. However, it is important to note that only the manual
transmission 4WD version can be left engaged on dry pavement. Expect to be
able to tow about 5,000 lbs, so the pull power of the FJ Cruiser is no
slouch. Rear wheel drive cruisers include a limited-slip rear differential.
A locking rear differential comes standard with manual transmission and 4WD,
but is otherwise optional.
Safety Features of the 2010 FJ Cruiser
The FJ Cruiser is designed well for your comfort and safety, featuring
curtain side airbags; floating ball with inclinometer, temperature gauge for
great support on that off road or adventure trip. For comfort while driving
the FJ Cruiser has a steering wheel wrapped in quality leather, which is a
plus for anti slip steering control. The steering is also complemented with
complete audio controls for ease of stereo use while driving.
Available safety features include ABS, antiskid system, curtain side
airbags, and front side airbags. We love the optional safety equipment
package that includes a rearview camera and rear-obstacle detection.
